Books for 2021

Books I’m planning to read for 2021. This is something I haven’t done before, even though it seems like such an obviously good idea. Leah Libresco recently posted her planned reads for 2021, which is what provided the inspiration for me. I’ve been keeping a retrospective reading list but never a prospective list. This may be the motivation I need to read some books I’ve been meaning to read for a while.

UPDATED: Jan. 4

  1. The Decadent Society, Ross Douthat
  2. Localism in the Mass Age, (a collection of essays published by Front Porch Republic)
  3. Piranesi, Susanna Clarke
  4. Dreyer’s English: An Utterly Correct Guide to Clarity and Style, Benjamin Dreyer
  5. The Bible–including the Apocrypha (this will be my first time reading through the Apocrypha; it will also be a year-long project).
